255 miles to the KOA in Casey, IL


Hot. Goodness for hot.

It topped 80* before we got out of the campground in Union. Down IL-41 & it's detour to I-74 to I-57 to Charleston. Then we wandered through cornfields till we got to the campground. It was 99* when we arrived around 2pm.

We asked for a full-hookup level site so we wouldn't have to unhook the trailer. We set up (partly - I'll attach the sewer line around dusk) and got in to watch the air conditioner work. An hour later, it got below 90* in the trailer.

But we have good internet, so we'll do the computer chores early, go to bed early, and get up early tomorrow so we can avoid some of the afternooon heat.
