At Twin Springs RV Park, Menomonie WI.

Cool, forecast for rain but only a few drops fell. Stayed cool - high of 74*F.

We put together our stuff for the reunion. John & Nancy came to the trailer & we prepared more. Then we went in convoy to the old Fortney farm (now Karn & Orrin Anderson's, Karn being a daughter of Henry & Caroline Fortney). 

We set up our stuff, then moved it under the main tent when a few drips fell. Turns out we stayed there all day as various family folks came by to look at the material.

We ate. We talked. We talked some more. Anita had put together a read-your-part play & I did Uncle Tom. Many laughs. The kids all had a ball (must have been 50 of them) both in organized and ad-hoc games.

We met some folks we'd known before & a lot of new ones.

We finally departed around 4:30 and went to "das Bierhaus" for a couple of beers. Then to the Stout Ale House for dinner (which I didn't really need). Then home to the little house to do these computer chores and to bed.

Cool and cloudy all day. Stayed cool - high of 74*F.

Off to church in the AM. Dolores to her St Joseph's, John & Nancy & I to St Pauls WELS where granddad & grandma Owen worshiped. Nice & interesting service.

Nancy got a call from Judi Utphall inviting us to lunch and chat there. When we got there, Jim & Joanne where there as well as Bob & Judy. Rob drifted thru and Wade & wife showed up for a while. We had pizza and talked and talked. Lots of bears there this year. Heard several stories of Ed & Les when farming together. Bob Utphall was really funny.

Then off to Ridgeland to see Frank Handorf & Gert Nelson, brother & sister. Frank was married to my cousin Jean at her death. He's 87, she's 93, but they still get around the house. An addition is that Frank's great-nephew Mike and his wife Jessie now live there as well and really help Frank and Gert. Mike & Jessie both work, but do help a lot, even just by being there daily.

We chatted again, had pie & coffee, and finally left. Frank's lost a lot of weight (down from his high of 375) down to 225. He uses a wheelchair & Gert a walker, but they do get around.

Then we checked out Connorsville, but Jayme had already closed the Korner. I'll have to send her an e-mail.

Back to the trailer & prepare to move tomorrow.
