Family day.
Up late, did our exercises.
Then Dan & Susan arrived. We went to lunch in Carmel at a place they knew (quite good).
We went into downtown Indianapolis to visit the Indiana State Museum and found it closed on Mondays. So we walked up and down the new river-walk that’s being installed. Found the NCAA Hall of Fame and the Visitor’s Center. There’s also an exhibit on Medal-of-Honor winners. Lots of joggers and walkers were using it at lunchtime.
Some shopping followed at the local Meijer (super-Walmart, only better). Bought a new mini-vacuum for the trailer, batteries, sun-block, and a plastic food-keeper. Then to the local Office Depot to buy a computer mouse because I forgot to pack mine.
We stopped at Starbucks for frappucinos but then the forecast thunderstorms started moving in. We finished and came back to the trailer to let Susan head for her home in Dayton ahead of the storm line.
We did go out briefly to get diesel fuel, then back and settled in for the night. The satellite dish and receiver are working well.
No wildlife sightings today, but we did see a lady walking her cat on a leash. The cat didn’t seem to mind.
Weather is supposed to be good tomorrow for the trip up to Michigan to my brother John’s house.
