This was sort of a nothing day.  We rose, ate, and got onto the road.

We saw no animals today, in sharp contrast to yesterday, and didn't see much of interest other than some nice scenery.

We refueled in Wonowon, BC (Milepost 101 on the old highway) and topped off again when we reached Dawson Creek.

At Fort St. John, we saw a Wendy's and satisfied that urge for lunch.  Fort St. John is a large town (55,000 in the area) whose people mainly work in the energy field - natural gas, oil, etc. It's a booming place, and traffic scurries everywhere. We're not accustomed to that sort of thing; we'd have to break into that gradually to be comfortable.

We're back in the land of fences and farms and fields. There aren't many farms, but there are enough to support the local grain elevators. Two railroads reach Dawson Creek, and you have your choice of highways to leave on.  You can go south to Prince George, east to Spirit Lake, southeast to Grande Prairie and Edmonton. We'll take the latter choice tomorrow.

When we arrived here at the campground, the temperature was about 70.  A few minutes ago, the front we've been watching approach got here; now the temperature is 55 and it's blowing hard.  It looks like a dandy night to stay in and read.

We'll have some simple dinner and then settle.
