Time to depart the ship and head home. We can make the 350 miles in one swell foop but might stay over somewhere interesting that we've not yet determined.
We broke our fast on the Sunset Veranda in 77* weather, very nice. Then we waited for the call for us to leave the ship. It came, we gathered our stuff and walked off the ship, saying goodbye to everyone.
We crossed the street to the parking garage and pulled the luggage up the ramp to the car. We plugged in the iPhone and started Google Maps. We followed it off Dodge Island, through massive construction to I-95N. The interstate was jammed as usual but we used every express lane we found, so we survived Miami.
As we stopped for gas we called D's niece to see if they would be at their place near Titusville, but found her in North Carolina. So we decided just to go home.
About five & a half hours later we pulled into Jax Beach.
