Our itinerary has it that we will go from JAX (Jacksonville FL) to ATL (Atlanta) on DL858 taking 1:13 to do that. Then we'll board another old 757-200 that will take us to SEA (Seattle-Tacoma) in 5:30.
Once landed at SEA we'll grab a Hertz animal and proceed to Ballard/Fremont to join Susan & Bryant.
.. and that's what we did. The flights were on time, no complications. We had a big problem finding our rental car because the area in the new multi-story rental car building is huge. The Hertz Gold program says to take any car you want from the Preferred area, but they're all bleeping Nissans. Some choice. The traffic was worse than I expected on this holiday (MLK) weekend but we survived.
We arrived at their house, a narrow tall townhouse, the eastern-most in a set of four facing south. We chatted briefly then we went to our Airbnb townhouse three doors away and put up our stuff. We checked out the locks and lights and put down our things.
Susan drove to dinner at Chinooks at the Terminal on the Ballard Canal. The terminal has all the things needed for the commercial fishermen that work out of it. Chinooks is part of the Anthony's Seafood chain. We agreed that I would pick up the tab in honor of Susan's birthday today. The food was good and the setting very nice.
Then we waddled out and motored back to the townhouses, and to bed. We each did some computer stuff then faded (body still on EST, Seattle on PST).
