We're off on another brief trip. First to see Susan & Bryant in Seattle, then to Glenn & MaryLou's place in Lakeside, outside San Diego.

It's a low-cost trip since all the airfare is on accumulated points.

But the air part only makes sense (and uses fewer points) if we take Delta.. And since we're on Delta, we have to change in Atlanta. Both ways. ATL had a total power outage a month ago, and twice been snarled due to weather in the northeast. I'm not comfortable with it, but we'll see.

We have two more trips this year, one a river cruise in France & Germany, and the other a short Caribbean cruise with a bunch of Submarine Veterans. I don't know which is more risky.

Bryant & Susan have purchased a town house in Seattle on the dividing line between Ballard and Fremont. Ballard is a great old-town sort of place and Fremont is transitioning from Industrial & Residential to yuppie offices and town-houses. The Tech Boom is really in effect in Seattle, what with Amazon, and Oracle, and Microsoft and several others growing like crazy. Boeing is still selling a bunch of aircraft as well. Housing prices in the neighborhood are out of sight, but not quite as bad as San Francisco. The area of town is very convenient to all their needs, so that's good.

So, pick a part of the trip using the buttons to the left and we'll go on.
