A day to play with Susan & Bryant - let them show us what they've found, which will probably be quite a bit - they've now resided here (R) for a month.
In between ventures we can sit at their place and get acquainted with the rest of the family, the cats. And talk, and plan.
We did all of that and more. They picked us up and took us to a fine Midwestern diner place, the Colossal. We each had all we could handle, and all of it good.
S&B then drove to their apartment house (R). Nice place. We toured it, seeing the fitness room, the office, the lobby, the penthouse floor amenities. The parking place is way underground.
We chatted mostly on family matters, and played with Jacque the cat. He's more open than his sister Agnes - which hid the whole time we were there.
Then we took off and toured the Como Lake Zoo and Conservatory. We saw many different animals from polar bears to chipmunks, and seals and sea lions; and lions and tigers and bears.
Many people have contributed to the two adjacent facilities, some in the millions. It's a diverse but thorough place. Lake Como is part of it. It's located in NW St Paul.'

We returned to the apartment area and stopped into the coop market across the street. We picked up several things to eat and drink in the room, where we have a refrigerator and microwave.
Then Susan took us back to the hotel so we could rest. D handled the distance easily, O was tired when the walking ended.
We've agreed to drive to various place in Wisconsin tomorrow, picking up S&B around 9am.
