20050517 Kingman AZ Picture Link
We ran southwest today with little wind and nice temperatures to Kingman, Arizona. No problems with the trailer's springs.
We set up in Fort Beale RV Park, then did some e-mail exchanging and a grocery trip to Albertsons.
After we got organized, we went to Owen & Patty McCoy's house. Ray & Eva Morales were also there from San Diego, so we had a miniature USS RAY reunion.
The guys chatted about what RAY crew members are where and what they're doing, then looked at pictures for a while. The ladies were discussing house decorations and so forth.
Then Mac got out some tremendous steaks and Patty put out enough food for ten people. Everything tasted just wonderful.
After dinner we chatted at table about what we'd done since RAY and what the kids do. Then Mac brought out the board game "Balderdash". We played one game of it (Dolores won, I was last) and laughed a lot.
We took pictures of each other and arranged to meet for breakfast tomorrow before we head to San Diego and Mac takes the Morales to the Las Vegas airport for their trip home. It was a great evening.
It's supposed to be hot in the desert tomorrow.
