Tuesday, 6 April 2010. 240 miles to Onalaska TX, on the shores of Lake Livingston. Cloudy, turning nice, but fierce wind out of the south.

The day's journey was fairly basic. I-35N to San Marco, then TX-21 to Madisonville, I-45 to Huntsville, US-190 to Onalaska. Minimum of fuss. No “Check Engine” light, so I guess that's over with.
We have a site at Northshore RV Resort here that's right on the lake. Maybe that will be good tomorrow, but right now it's blowing the trailer around despite the jacks on the ground in all four corners. Very rural place – not much in terms of fancy places, but there's enough to get along. One large market (the other is closed), several small non-chain restaurants. Fifteen miles to Livingston TX and all the stuff.
We saw fields of wildflowers just before we arrived, so D wants to go for a ride tomorrow to take more pictures.
We'll get some pictures of the lake at Sea State 3 (maybe 4) now. Then we'll have a chicken dinner in the unstable little house, and take it easy from there.
