Ōarai is a seaside town in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, located on the Pacific Coast approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from Tokyo. The town features the iconic Kamiiso-no-Torii, a torii gate standing in the ocean at Oarai Isosaki Shrine.
