Saturday, 3 April 2010. Sunny, nice.

Still in New Braunfels.
After breakfast we headed north toward Austin, veering off to go to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center southwest of downtown.
It's a very nice facility, new-looking, green, and all that. Sparsely decorated like the country around it. Has a store (of course), welcome center/room, cafe, trails, signs, and all the right stuff. All roof drains run into cisterns, collecting the fresh water for use in the facility.
Dolores took many pictures. I took some. She takes the flowers, I take the signs and buildings so she knows where the flowers were and why we were there.
The place grew more crowded as the day went on. We left around 12:30 and headed downtown, where we circled the state capitol building, and went out onto I-35 via 1st Street.
I-35 was it's usual busy road. Ump-zillion people doing 75 or better on three lanes. Run like mad or get run over. By the time we got to San Marco, it calmed down some.
We stopped at the store and bought food things. Then back to the trailer to cook late lunch or early dinner – take your pick.
We called Bill to see how he's doing on his bachelor weekend – turned out he's doing yard work. Lana is at St Simons with Jamie and two friends with their babies. I wanted to get a sauce made at a ribs place there, but Bill tells me it burned down – nuts.
“Check Engine” light came on in the truck again. Got the diagnostic code out of the truck computer - 41 Generator Field not switching properly – whatever that means. I cleared the codes, we'll see if it comes back. No low-voltage, no other sign of problem.
So now we're taking it easy, getting ready for Easter.
