Malaga….last time here five years ago we spent all our time with O's cousin, on the harbor waterfront (a great paseo). This time we'll take a few days and experience more of it. We'll stay in the center of things, next to the Cathedral, near the pedestrian shopping street and the mercado, yet close to the harbor.
… and here we are, stepping off the train from Madrid to go to our hotel, the AC Hotel Palacio, a Marriott affiliate. It's located on the harbor-front park, halfway between the old town and the new paseo on the arm leading out to the cruise port. That's where we'll probably need to go to board in a couple of days.

One thing O wants to do is to purchase a quantity of Victoria Sin, a non-alcoholic beer of good reputation to bring on board. This, of course, means he'll have to taste-test a few before purchase. "Sin" in Spanish means "without".

In the picture (L), the cruise port building here is way out toward the end of the pier/breakwater. The old city is at the right edge. The new waterfront comes toward us; the new harbor-front strip of nice restaurants and shops then pushes out and forms the left side of the inner harbor. A Google-view link is here.
We'll check out as late as possible then go to the port for boarding. We expect the usual confusion and congestion, although it can't be too bad with <700 people boarding.
