We arose, fluttered around the trailer for a while, then went out with the truck.

We wandered around Galveston Island, then went to an adjoining island where there is a memorial, part of which is the old USS Cavalla (SS244). I saw Cavalla in service in my youth.

We didn't go through the memorial, promising ourselves a trip back here for a longer period since we've seen there is plenty to do.

The we went to the Moody Gardens Aquarium. Moody's must have been big here; there is a large complex of attractions under the umbrella of Moody Gardens. The Moody Mansion is another, and there are more.

After looking at all sorts of aquatic creatures, we left there (with a gift for Jamie, of course).

Then we returned to the trailer and spent a hour moving it to the proper site – the one we should have had when we arrived yesterday. We sat around for a while until we decided to go eat some seafood someplace.

We wound up at Joe's Crab Shack. D had a big dungeness crab & I had Key West chicken. Both quite nice. Loud, young place.

We took another ride on the way back, including a drive down onto the hard sand beach for pictures.

Then back to the little house to download pictures from the cameras into the computers and to relax.
