20070917 Juneau
In an early morning fog, we tiptoed up the fjord and into Juneau. Juneau looked just like it did in times past.

We ran off the ship and joined a tour going on a small boat whale-watching trip. We saw a bunch of them, and many seals.
After the boat returned to the marina, the bus took us out to the Mendenhall Glacier, which we'd seen before. It did seem a little farther away from the viewing platform.
Then we hiked around downtown until dinner time, which we ate on board. I ran into a former Woodrow Wilson shipmate dockside (Jack Brandt) who now lives there.
