There was a little rain left over from last night but Austin missed the big stuff. But it's nice for the city to gain a little more in recovery from drought. Lake Travis is up nine feet since the first of the year – it had nearly disappeared.
We went to Choquette Drive and reacquainted ourselves with the cats. We got the house tour. It's a nice two-person-size 1950's (but upgraded) bungalow. Susan and I walked four short blocks to the neighborhood pharmacy and grocery to fetch a few things and walked back.
We played with Facetime several different ways. My iPhone will use it over the internet. My Macbook can run it. Dolores has some sort of problem with running it on her iPhone (resolved later). Susan's works, both Macbook and iPhone.
The three of us walked to the neighborhood center again, to the little deli. We had sandwiches and then walked a longer way back to the house just to see more of the 'hood. There's quite a span of houses in the Brentwood neighborhood, from 1950's bungalows to fancy upgrades to new homes. One house is of stone facing with a turret.
We went out toward Lake Travis to get Bryant at work. Then we went to a Italian place in the Triangle to eat – this place has retail on the ground floor and apartments on the two floors above. Interesting area.
Back at the house, we quietly digested and chatted until time for us to go home. We returned to the little house, did a little computing and went to bed.
